Allow me to assure you the decision you made to cut ties with MAGA and Trump supporters in your life is a healthy one.
Do not believe the rhetoric that you are being unreasonable and divisive by ending relationships with those who voted Republican this past election.
Make no mistake, those who support Trump also agree with and endorse his values; those values were on full display in one of the most vitriolic presidential campaigns the United States has ever held.
A campaign ran on a non-platform of racism, misogyny, xenophobia and lies.
That campaign was successful in re-electing a proven liar, convicted felon, convicted sexual abuser, and bigot.
The campaign promised to “Make America Great Again (for white people only),” with the vow that “Trump will fix it (for the rich).”
This “fixing” includes mass deportation of immigrants, the complete dismantling of the 1965 Civil Rights Acts, stripping of trans/LGBTQ+ rights, a national abortion ban, the elimination of the Department of Education and the National Labor Relations Board, a gutting of social security and other social safety…
