When I was a child, my grandmother LOVED Gunsmoke and Bonanza. That's how I became exposed to Westerns and cop shows. But as an adult, yeah no thanks. The Bass Reeves series is by Tyler Sheridan, who created the Yellowstone series of shows. I find both him and his Westerns problematic. In the case of Reeves, I don't care for our histories/stories being told by people who are not us. Thanks for checking out the article!
