The Must-Have Accessory You Need For Your M4 MacBook Air
An elegant solution for a common Macbook pain point
In my book, the M4 MacBook Air is close to the perfect laptop for most consumers.
Its lightweight, fanless design boasts Apple’s famous premium build quality, the new M4 silicon chip, and the now standard base of 16 gigabytes of unified memory.
This laptop is a powerhouse that makes this podcaster and film curator’s workflows more streamlined and efficient.
However, the laptop has one glaring flaw, a pain point for most owners: its lack of adequate ports.
Since the introduction of its silicon line of chips that power its laptops, Apple has been notoriously stingy when it comes to available ports on Macbooks.
While it does provide two USB-C ports, along with the returning MagSafe charging port (we members of the accident-prone club thank you, Apple!), and a 3.5mm headphone jack, many of us still own computer peripherals requiring legacy ports such as HDMI and USB-A.
While scrolling through TikTok of all places, my eyes stumbled upon a simple, elegant accessory that solves not only the Macbook’s paucity of ports, but also adds other benefits as well.
