In a real-life drama worthy of the silver screen, Netflix spent $55 million dollars for a sci-fi television series that no one will ever see.

On the road to CONQUEST

In an article by GiantFreakingRobot.com based on reporting by the New York Times, in 2018, Netflix gave film director Carl Rinsch $55 million dollars to produce and deliver a sci-fi series entitled CONQUEST.

If you haven’t heard of Carl Rinsch before, and I know I hadn’t, the only other feature film this man has directed is 47 Ronin, a 2013 Keanu Reeves action vehicle that flopped at the box office.

Aside from 47 Ronin, the only other directing credits Rinsch has is a 2010 sci-fi short film, and one video.
