Thank you for your support and kind words, Kimi! I agree, it's sad we are in the 21st century, but racism remains. But it's because it's a function of white supremacy - and those that benefit aren't going to cede any power or privilege without a fight. As for Black representation in sci-fi and fantasy, the great news is there is a proliferation of Black authors writing in almost every speculative genre. Please check them out. I'm an avid reader and stopped reading SFF books written by white authors several years ago, and haven't looked back. So there is hope, and I believe we will see more Black representation FUBU onscreen in those genres.
