I appreciate you plainly laying out why the prosecutors in Mr. Arbery's murder trial skirted around the blatant racist motivations of the three murderers. I'm glad Arbery's family got a measure of justice - the death penalty should've been on the table IMO, but people proclaiming the "justice system works" don't have a leg to stand on. The only reason those three monsters were arrested (over 70 days after Mr. Arbery was lynched) was because they were so secure in their white arrogance, they believed the video would exonerate them. Indeed, if it weren't for the release of the video - and Wanda Cooper-Jones dogged pursuit of justice for her son - they would be waking around free right now. But I can't help but think about how many other modern-day lynchings there have been with no one brought to justice because no video evidence was present and the victims had no one to advocate for them.
