I am very excited about the forthcoming new season of Doctor Who debuting on May 10th, 2024.

For the first time, it will not be airing exclusively on the BBC. It will be airing simultaneously on both the BBC ( British Broadcasting Corporation) and Disney Plus.

But what I’m most excited for is the groundbreaking casting of Rwandan-Scottish actor Ncuti (pronounced shoo-ti) Gatwa as the 15th Doctor. Gatwa is a very charismatic actor, so my belief is he will be outstanding as the heroic Time Lord.

A Personal Doctor Who Timeline

My personal history with Doctor Who is that I have been watching the show off and on for many years. For me, it started way back in the early 1980s when I was in high school.

I would watch reruns of Doctor Who on our local PBS station. Those reruns began with the Tom Baker era — and I fell in love with the show.
