Admittedly, I had no clue what ChatGPT was just a few days ago. That quickly changed when mentions of the AI-powered chatbot exploded online.
Social media is buzzing about it.
People are posting responses to their queries received from the next-gen chatbot. User reactions range from surprise and elation to hardcore skepticism and alarm.
Has the age of our AI overlords finally arrived?
My curiosity got the better of me. So, throwing caution to the wind, I signed up with OpenAI to give its text-powered, AI chatbot a spin. (Sidenote: OpenAI, why do you require a phone number to register for the public beta? Frankly, that seems a little sketchy.)
To see what all the fuss is about, I played a game of 20 questions with ChatGPT. I peppered it with questions ranging in tone from flighty to deeply philosophical.
